Sit back and immerse yourself in this trio of pieces created from electronic sound, acoustic vibration and human breath. Curated by Yorkshire Sound Women Network (YSWN) and realised spectacularly using the HEARO Loudspeaker Orchestra, the compositions encompass a variety of musicians and approaches but share deeper connections with our lives, our planet and what collectively sustains us.
Supported by the Music Department and funded by the Teaching Excellence Academy at the University of Hull
YSWN was founded in 2015 by women working in the sound technology industry who wanted to use their skills and influence to address gender and racial inequality. Its mission is to support a flourishing industry which welcomes, encourages and progresses the inclusion of women and minority gender people at all levels from studio floor to board room, and reflects the diversity of its participating communities.
